On Dynamic Deviation Measures and Continuous-Time Portfolio Optimisation

چکیده
In this paper we propose the notion of dynamic deviation measure, as a dynamic timeconsistent extension of the (static) notion of deviation measure. To achieve time-consistency we require that a dynamic deviation measures satisfies a generalised conditional variance formula. We show that, under a domination condition, dynamic deviation measures are characterised as the solutions to a certain class of backward SDEs. We establish for any dynamic deviation measure an integral representation, and derive a dual characterisation result in terms of additively m-stable dual sets. Using this notion of dynamic deviation measure we formulate a dynamic mean-deviation portfolio optimisation problem in a jump-diffusion setting and identify a subgame-perfect Nash equilibrium strategy that is linear as function of wealth by deriving and solving an associated extended HJB equation.

متن کاملMULTIPERIOD CREDIBILITIC MEAN SEMI-ABSOLUTE DEVIATION PORTFOLIO SELECTION
In this paper, we discuss a multiperiod portfolio selection problem with fuzzy returns. We present a new credibilitic multiperiod mean semi- absolute deviation portfolio selection with some real factors including transaction costs, borrowing constraints, entropy constraints, threshold constraints and risk control. In the proposed model, we quantify the investment return and risk associated with...
متن کاملOutperformance Testing of a Dynamic Assets Portfolio Selection Supplemented with a Continuous Paths Levy Process
This study aims at getting a better performance for optimal stock portfolios by modeling stocks prices dynamics through a continuous paths Levy process. To this end, the share prices are simulated using a multi-dimensional geometric Brownian motion model. Then, we use the results to form the optimal portfolio by maximizing the Sharpe ratio and comparing the findings with the outputs of the conv...
متن کاملOptimality conditions for portfolio optimization problems with convex deviation measures as objective functions
Abstract. In this paper we derive by means of the duality theory necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for convex optimization problems having as objective function the composition of a convex function and a linear continuous mapping defined on a separated locally convex space with values in an finitedimensional space. We use the general results for deriving optimality conditions for t...
متن کاملContinuous dynamic optimisation using evolutionary algorithms
Evolutionary dynamic optimisation (EDO), or the study of applying evolutionary algorithms to dynamic optimisation problems (DOPs) is the focus of this thesis. Based on two comprehensive literature reviews on existing academic EDO research and realworld DOPs, this thesis for the first time identifies some important gaps in current academic research where some common types of problems and problem...
